Hong Sun Gyong, former science and technology counselor at the North Korean Embassy in Bangkok, is escorted by unidentified policemen March 10 after being taken into custody along with his wife. The couple were apparently being forcibly smuggled back to North Korea via Laos by other North Koreans in a van March 9 when they were found in the Non Daeng district of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, 330 kilometers northeast of Bangkok.
